In order to promote and support environmental awareness, DMEDD started a “Memorial Forest” campaign within the framework of “Combating Soil Erosion Program” between 1995-1997. To this end, in accordance with the protocol signed with the Ministry of Forestry on November 12, 1995, DMEDD started growing 3 forests with 100.000 trees around Ankara in Gölbaşı, Sincan and Polatlı districts.
In addition to its valuable contribution to the “10 Billion Acorn” campaign of the TEMA Foundation in 1999-2000, our association continues to support this Foundation and its many other important endavours.
Moreover, DMEDD planted additional trees in the “Bosnian Martyrs Forest” located in ORAN-Ankara and repaired fences that surround this forest.
