On 8 November 2023, DMEDD Chairperson Şebnem Akçapar and members of the Board visited the "African Handicrafts Market and House of Culture" which was opened under the auspices of H.E. Emine Erdoğan as a social responsibility project with the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the support of non-governmental organizations with the aim of selling the handicrafts made by African women in Turkey at the price they deserve without profit and sending the income to African women.

A productive meeting was held with Mrs. Zeliha Sağlam, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the African House of Culture, regarding the realization of joint projects with DMEDD and work in cooperation on social responsibility projects.
